Teaze has hosted events in the studio including Rocky Horror Picture Show, Pin Up Bazaar, holiday showcases, themed parties, and anniversary events. During our twelve years in business, the company participated in many parades and news segments including the Oklahoma Gazette's annual Halloween parade with thousands in attendance. Teaze won the Hotter Than Hades Award in 2009 and 3rd place in 2011 among the entries in the parade. The studio and staff have been featured on Fox 25, KFOR, 96.9 BOB-FM, Oklahoma Live,
Look at OKC, and the Oklahoma Gazette.
Teaze is the first and only studio of its kind in our state and over the years, the studio
hosted internationally known artists for shows and workshops. Pole, aerial, & burlesque performers as well as instructors include Natasha Wang, David C. Owen, Pantera Blacksmith, Jordan Kolar, Bettina May, the Schlep Sisters, Ruby Revue, and Houston Burlesque Revue. One of our own students took her first beginning pole class at Teaze in 2011 and by 2013, Rachele Ribera was competing in the Pole Championship Series, Paragon, and Miss Pole Dance America. She was a weekly class instructor from 2014-2016 at this studio and moved on to booking around the world, as several of our other long-time staff have done as well.
Since 2011, the team at Teaze has produced shows with staff and sometimes students performing. The show names included: All That Teaze, Shamrock Follies, Bombshells the Show, Les Girls, Showgirl Revue, Scoundrels and Showgirls, and more. Our team produced one festival in 2014- Oklahoma Pole & Burlesque Expo, which featured local talent showcases, a live band with choreographed group dances to the band, and three separate competitions. The competitions awarded titles and included: Miss Pin Up Oklahoma, Oklahoma Pole Championships- Women's Division, Master's Division, Men's Division, and a pole doubles showcase. The Oklahoma Queen of Burlesque title was the final title given.
The Teaze team also partnered with Harley Davidson World of OKC and produced the
Miss Pin Up OKC competition in 2013.
From 2015 to today, the group can be booked for professional shows with live band and dancers. They are no longer offering the plethora of community events in the form of small shows, workshops and small events within the dance studio. Instead, the owners have set their sites on traveling for large scale casinos and gala events as well as vintage festivals around the world.
Our studio is laid out in an open floor plan with an Old Hollywood Glamour theme. There is a comfy amoeba couch and vintage lamps for the seating area near the front doors. We offer a large changing room. Our custom built sprung wood dance floor is stunning. It contains room for 14 poles and 8 aerial apparatuses, all of which can be removed or reconfigured for traditional dance workshops or a party. We offer a 961 sq ft dance floor. Five solid 6 ft X 10 ft mirrors run the entire length of the studio. For more atmosphere and gorgeous group photos, we have a vintage tiki bar and tiki decor all around the bar. For the best experience, we have privacy curtains on all windows and doors as well as dimmable lighting. We use soft lamp lighting for group events to set a cozy and sultry mood. Historic photos and 70 year old showgirl costumes line the walls and shelves of the studio on display for an educational experience. Our owners are entertainers who offer a live band and dancers for events. You will see the history of our entertainment company on the walls and items we have collected and preserved over the years as well as instruments and leather tooled music equipment. Our staff offer twelve years of experience entertaining bachelorette and birthday girls! We can easily accommodate groups where every participant has her own pole, aerial sling, chair, and burlesque props.
